Details stay in this tab and are not sent to us. Save an editable draft before leaving. Loading the example or opening a draft replaces the current form. Draft files contain the details you enter.

Tax applies to the full subtotal; this template does not determine tax obligations or support mixed tax rates. Changing currency relabels amounts without converting them. Rates and totals round to two decimal places.

Invoice, estimate, or quote?

An estimate communicates an anticipated cost. A quote sets out an offered price and scope for approval. An invoice requests payment for agreed work, a deposit, or a completed stage. Use your approved quote and agreement as the source for invoice line items; an invoice alone does not define the whole photography commission.

What to include

  • Your business and client billing details, an invoice number, issue date, and due date.
  • The shoot or project reference, deliverables, quantities, and unit prices in one stated currency.
  • Any applicable tax, payments already received, and the remaining balance.
  • Clear payment instructions and references to agreed usage, revisions, and payment terms.

The template supports one tax rate applied to all line items. Enter the rate and registration details that apply to your business and transaction; choosing GBP or USD does not select a tax regime. Use your accounting workflow when you need mixed rates, exemptions, or a formally numbered tax invoice.

Try the worked example

The example contains a $900 product session, ten retouched images at $45 each, and a $300 agreed usage fee. With no tax entered, the total is $1,650. A $660 payment leaves $990 due. These invented amounts demonstrate the template; replace the names, dates, scope, rates, and terms before using it.

Save editable draft downloads a file you can reopen here. Print / save PDF exports the invoice view through your browser’s print dialog. The form is not saved automatically and does not send invoices or collect payments.
